So whilst the game itself may not be HDR "reference" quality in the way that COD WW2 or AC Origin's are, the HDR still always impresses. Reducing this value actually has some minor effects on peak brightness (but only when it is set at lower values) suggesting that some of the toning curve isn't locked down as rigidly as it should be. *There are very minor inconsistancies in how this affects the image. ![]() I've had so many different results here I've been unable to come to any conclusive results as so exactly how it is working, however what I generally saw was that the black point and white point shifted as this adjusted and this has an effect in a non linear fashion across most of the image. What you will see here is that changing the brightness has no real impact* on the peak values, they remain fixed at whatever has been set, so this control is not behaving as an exposure control. ![]() I've spent hours looking at these two adjustments and how they interact with each other.
